The point of laughter in the last story is that because when Nasir Uddin told the man that he had already lent his donkey, at the same time the donkey brayed and Nasir Uddin’s lie was exposed on the spot. So he said that a man who believes the words of an animal (donkey) and prefers it on the words of a man is not worth mentioning.

Treatment of thieves:

Once the thieves entered his house and ransacked everything, Nasir Uddin hid himself in a cupboard due to fear. When the thieves opened the cupboard, they were surprised to see Nasir Uddin inside. They asked him why he was hiding in the cupboard. As he was very smart, he told them that he hid in the cupboard due to shame as there was nothing valuable and worthy in his house and thus he deceived them.

Explanation to the Gardener:

Once Nasir Uddin climbed in to someone’s kitchen garden and filling a sack with everything which was in his reach. A gardener saw him and asked him what he was doing there. He replied that he was blown there by the wind and when the gardener stopped being blown away, in the end the gardener asked him about the uprooted vegetables then he replied that he caught hold of them to stop being blown away. In the end the gardener asked him about the vegetables in the sack so he replied that he was also wondering how they got in the sack.

Nasiruddin was a famous person. The age in which he lived is not exactly known. The country of his birth is also unknown. His interesting and amusing stories are famous all over the world. People read his stories and often quote him in their conversations. From his stories it is evident that he was a humorous, interesting and clever person. He was very witty (entertaining). He had the quality of facing any difficult situation. He was most learned and experienced man. He had been a tailor, merchant, a doctor, a religious person and a judge.
